How Reporting Partners Earn IT Confidence

For Yale New Haven Health and Emory University School of Medicine, IT confidence was built through evidence, not promises. Direct access to technical expertise, confidence in long-term support and successful implementation experiences demonstrated that Rad AI could execute at scale and support IT throughout the reporting transition.

At Yale, Melissa A. Davis, MD, MBA, Vice Chair of Medical Informatics, described long-term support as “the most important sustainability piece” and a major factor in choosing Rad AI. During the process, Yale could speak directly with Rad AI’s lead engineers rather than communicate through separate layers, allowing the team to get technical information directly.

Yale’s implementation experience reinforced that confidence. Although the organization had already selected Rad AI Reporting, its rollout of Rad AI Impressions gave IT additional experience working with the team. Dr. Davis called it “the easiest transition that our IT team has had in years.” That experience continued with Rad AI Reporting, which she described as “one of our best implementations from a software standpoint at this scale that we've had in a long time.”

At Emory, firsthand experience also shaped IT’s perspective. After implementing Rad AI Impressions, Emory’s IT team considered Rad AI “one of the best vendors that they’ve ever worked with in the radiology space,” according to Elias Kikano, MD, Division Director of Imaging Informatics at Emory University School of Medicine.

When Emory later evaluated reporting solutions, Dr. Kikano said IT was “a strong voice” in the decision based on its positive experience implementing Rad AI Impressions and its expectation that the positive experience would continue with Rad AI Reporting.

Together, their experiences show how technical readiness, direct access to expertise, long-term support and demonstrated execution can give IT teams confidence throughout a reporting transition.
